Part of My Kriya Cleansing Techniques post, after Oil Pulling, Tongue Scraping, Dry Skin Brushing and Neti Pot, I have a large glass of lukewarm (pre-boiled) water, with half a lemon and a pinch of cayenne pepper.
While we sleep, our body is at work cleansing itself.
In other words, we are “fasting” during this time, which is why it is so important for a good nights sleep. When we stay up late and only get 3-4 hours of rest, you are depriving your body of cleansing itself, then you scarf down a McMuffin meal, coffee and Red Bull to get you through the morning, no wonder you feel sluggish by noon!
The word “breakfast” literally means “break fast”; to break the fasting period with the first meal of the day, which we know as “breakfast”.
Now why ruin what our bodies are trying so hard to cleanse, by adding more garbage fatty foods?
Ever consider why you feel like crap? Recall the saying “you are what you eat?” I’ll let you ponder on that thought for a minute…
Having this lemon water solution supports the body’s cleanse by eliminating toxins.
Lemon juice aids digestion, destroying bacteria and supports the liver and kidneys by ridding these organs of toxins.
Cayenne pepper also aids digestion, increases your metabolism, and helps regulate blood sugar.
Drinking these two ingredients, you are treating yourself to anti-fungal, immune boosting, and detoxification properties!
You may have heard of the Master Cleanse, or the Lemon Water Detox.
This “diet” or “detox” of drinking solely of lemon water in place of food is not recommend, as you are being deprived of vitamins, minerals and nutrients your body needs to sustain, detox and flush out the toxins.
What do I eat when I complete my Kriya Cleanse?
I’ll make a smoothie packed with fruits and seeds, or I will make a Fruit Earth Bowl
Bacon and eggs sounds amazing, but the last thing I want to do is disrupt my body of it’s cleanse, and more importantly, I want to eat foods that are high in nutrients, not empty calories, fat and sugar.
