Milk Does the Body Good… or does it?

If you are a milk drinker, consider the conventional milk you are drinking as a whole chemical system of agriculture. What does that mean exactly? well…

conventional milk consists of antibiotics, artificial hormones, and pesticides.

Gross huh?

And I don’t even want to get into the living condition of the cows and they’re environment (don’t worry, I won’t post any sad photos).

So why do we drink milk?

Going back to the beginning of human development, a woman produces breast milk to nurture her baby, which allows the biggest growth spurt of our entire life.

Seriously think about how much you weighed as a newborn, to the time you were about 2 years old – that’s a huge development!

As an adult, you certainly do not go to your mother to be breast fed, but yet we are the only adult species that rely on drinking milk of another species.

“But milk does the body good right?”

In retrospective,

using cow’s milk has nothing to do with health or nutrition, you do not need milk for calcium intake.

It boils down to the multibillion-dollar industry and their marketing ploys, where they spend millions of dollars every year to market their products.

They know you watch TV, read magazines, surf the web; but yet an average consumer will not take the time to read the facts or familiarize themselves with medical information.

We consume dairy products which are linked to a number of health related issues, including:
Acne, Anemia, Anxiety, Arthritis, ADD, ADHD, Fibromyalgia, Headaches, Heartburn, Indigestion, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Joint Pain, Osteoporosis, Poor Immune Function, Ear Infections, Colic, Obesity, Heart Disease, Diabetes
Autism, Crohn’s Disease, Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, and more!
… to me, that is some serious scary sh*t!

All those illnesses due to milk-intake ?!

It certainly makes me think… they distribute the milk that makes us sick, we see the doctors who prescribe us medication to treat (not cure, treat) the sickness, and it goes back into a never-ending cycle – everyone cashes in except for the consumer.

Why not give your body (and the cows) a break.

If you are looking for fortified non-dairy products, try: Almond Milk, Soy Milk, Cashew Milk and/or Coconut Milk

I personally drink Silk True Almond (Vanilla or Original flavor) and am honestly hooked! They have a Dark Chocolate flavor which tastes like chocolate cake, and if I’m baking, I use their Original flavor, which has no sweetened flavor to it. Best of all, Silk True Almond is a verified Non-GMO Product *woot*

However, I do not suggest cutting milk out of your diet cold turkey – your body will go into shock and you could make yourself more sick, without the proper method of weaning off something it’s relied on for so long.

There is so much food that contains amazing nutritional benefits.

Do some research and familiarize yourself with the food you are putting into your body and the potential damage it may cause.

You’ll be surprised with what you can add to your meals, and introduce new products you’ve never even tried before!
